Director of Architecture
Rudy manages Architectural Innovations’ diverse team of professionals through all phases of project development, including design, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and construction administration. A registered architect and Pittsburgh native, Rudy’s work includes aviation, healthcare, office, laboratory, and municipal projects, many with intensive building engineering systems. He currently leads the firm’s work on the Pittsburgh International Airport’s Terminal Modernization Program. Rudy has extensive experience in architectural design and documentation in key phases of the work cycle, including implementation and coordination of systems and BIM documentation of projects. He is recognized as a leader in applied production and management utilizing BIM tools. Rudy is LEED® AP BD+C accredited and has partnered with senior client management and consultants on high-performance sustainable design analysis, development, and implementation. He oversees AI’s integration of sustainability into the design process. When he’s not managing teams and client projects, Rudy takes advantage of the wide array of recreational opportunities Pittsburgh has to offer. He earned his Master of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona.
